Di Matteo hardly did well at West Brom so I'm less sure about him, so other good names though.

Don't know about that, he took them straight back up after relegation and they then had the *best start (at the time) to a Premier League season by an Albion team. Their form did slump but the run of bad results they had were not as bad as Leicester's last season.

*from wiki of course.

I'm not sure Di Matteo is really a name with international appeal either. He's done okay atSchalke too. Took over when 11th, finished last season 6th - missed out on champs league due to 2 wins in their last 10 games. Would be happy0ish with him but would prefer Klopp or Hiddink. Klopp might seem fat fetched but really surely we're ideal for him? A Premiership club that's a bit of a 'project'. Unfancied club with aims of European football. Supportive owners with money... what's not to like?

Nothing other than the fact that we are unfortunately in Leicester.

Beats being in Liverpool, waking up to find you're having your car radio nicked at 2 in the morning.... can't see him being keen on that.

So Hiddink was a waste of time.

Guus Hiddink not taking Leicester job!

Translates to:
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha must continue to search for a new manager. The owner of Leicester City had his eye on Guus Hiddink, who has no interest. As reported by sources around the former coach.
The number fourteen of the Premier League is looking for a successor to Nigel Pearson, which was recently put on the street. Srivaddhanaprabha Hiddink would see the ideal supervisor, including his younger trainer. But a return of Achterhoeker in the Premier League - in 2009 he was briefly manager of Chelsea - seems not an option. The end of his career, also a possibility, since his premature departure from the KNVB has arrived hard.

Hiddink was last Monday sacked as coach of the Dutch national team. The KNVB was brought out that both parties amicably parted ways, but there is no question of that. In the new edition of Voetbal International a comprehensive reconstruction of the departure of Hiddink as coach.

Going swimmingly
