He has a bag packed and is on the verge of ****ing off.

I've calmed him down with some of his favorite coco pops but hes not happy

Might I suggest changing his milk for his coco pops to full cream from skimmed?

This is sure to make him feel better.

This is exactly my concerns also, time is running out and preparation is a mess. All 3 promoted clubs have been bringing in players as well.

Whilst I dont disagree with the pearson sacking, I think its been handled in a bad way, they should have had a replacement lined up.

How do you line someone up when you are not planning to sack someone?

"Hi Mr Klopp/ Mr O'Neil/ Mr Ranieri. Could you hand your notice in/and/or not apply for any jobs, just in case we might want to hire you, maybe, if we have to sack our current manager suddenly?"

Yes, exactly like that

I don't understand anyone saying someone else should have been lined up. What, for an unforeseeable event?! Or in the aftermath, just in case?!

We don't know what went on behind closed doors, but I think that this whole delay implies that NP was the definite manager until the relationship reached a critical juncture.

Although isn't hindsight wonderful...

you delay the sacking until replacement is ready.

And risk NP and the boards relationship becoming septic and infecting the players, by that time you have a major problem on your hands where not only do you need to replace the manager but also half the squad as they take sides and become unhappy.

Damned if you do and damned if you dont.

Given the limited details which have come out, it is difficult to fathom out exactly what went on, but on the basis that it appears NP was unhappy with how his son was dealt with then I have come to the conclusion that the decision taken by the board was not made in haste given there was almost 2 weeks between the 3 players being sacked and Pearson. On this assumption (and I could be very wrong) it would seem that there was sufficient time to discuss NP's departure and potential replacements. Again we don't know exactly who or what they have drawn up, but one would think it's going horribly wrong being as we are still managerless.

The board should always be in a position to move quickly for a new manager - they're the most important member of club staff, yet if we're doing well can be poached away at the drop of a hat whilst if we're doing badly a quick change before things worsen is more desirable. There have been lots of reports on how Southampton's board were prepared for Pochettino leaving and were able to quickly install Koemann, with a similar style and mindset to keep up their levels of success, that should be a template for a club like ours.

The owners have been excellent for the club but the absence of an effective replacement becomes potentially more damaging by the day. Likely that we will be playing catch up with our main rivals in the survival race. Can't afford to panic but either of the favourites in the betting would probably keep us up......so the club needs to close a deal quickly. Incidentally I doubt if either is a long term fix... but I doubt if there is anything long term in their business.

You are completely right, because that is such an accurate assessment of the Catholic Church.
Thanks. I know I missed off a few things, like protection of child molesters and scrounging money from the world's poorest people to pay the enormous salaries of cardinals sitting in giant jewel-encrusted gold thrones and running centres for child abuse in Ireland for decades and telling people they'll burn forever in a lake of fire if they use birth control, but I didn't want it to seem like I was picking on them.

Well I have to say that I'm shocked and appalled that you've not brought up the Nazis, the Crusades or Rick Santorum yet.
