I have just looked him up on Wikepedia. He is tall (5ft 11) and experienced. The thing that impresses me is that he was captain at Chesterfield which suggests he is a leader. No doubt I saw him against Leicester but did not really notice him. I bet Steve Walsh knows all about him though. I have enough confidence in the current management team to believe that if he is good enough Nigel will try and sign him - if he is not good enough we won't. Unlike Martin Allen we will not be signing players on agents recommendations (Jimmy Neilson) or ones we have only seen on DVD (Hussein Kaebi).

From what I've seen Leven is solid, but not really any advance of what we have in the midfield anyway!

Maybe that's what we need though, not much depth at the moment

The point in signing players is that they're supposed to be an improvement on what you have already...
