Large standing crowd tomorrow - chance to revive some proper terrace traditions. 'Knees up mother Brown' and pissing in someone's pocket would be a good start.

Had £20 on Peterborough to win @ 8/5

If the worst does happen and we lose at least I will have £52 in my sky rocket to drown my sorrows.

These people that let there heart rule their head. :icon_roll

The only difference between me and you will be:

Lako:

Leicester win = delighted
Leicester draw = pleased
Leicester lose = upset

Me:

Leicester win = delighted
Leicester draw = pleased
Leicester lose = upset + £50

Having £50 would would make no difference to my feelings if we were to lose on sat. Knowing that I have never bet against my team in my life however will.

HEAD TO HEAD
The two clubs have met just 10 times in the past, but only five of those clashes have come with league points at stake. Both City and Posh have four wins apiece overall.

EARLY MEETINGS
The first ever meetings came in the League Cup in 1964-65, when holders City were restricted to a goalless draw at Filbert Street in Round 2. The Foxes eventually progressed with a 2-0 win at London Road in the replay.

RECENT HISTORY
7 of the other 8 clashes came between 1992 and 1993, incorporating League, League Cup and Anglo-Italian Cup fixtures. Our most recent visit to London Road was back in December 1993, for a Division One game that ended 1-1. Last December, when the teams resumed hostilities at the Walkers Stadium, the Foxes cruised to a 4-0 win.

BIGGEST WINS
That victory last December was actually the biggest win recorded by either team to date. The best result achieved by Posh was by a 3-0 scoreline at London Road in April 1993. The biggest goal feast actually came in the Anglo-Italian Cup qualifier at London Road in August 1993 which ended 4-3 to the home team.

GOALSCORING HEROES
Phil Gee ranks alongside Steve Thompson as City's leading marksman against the Posh with just 2 goals. Overall, Peterborough's Tony Philliskirk leads the series with 3 strikes against the Foxes.

DEBUTANTS
Those 10 previous clashes have produced 4 City debutants: Bobby Svarc made his bow in the League Cup in the 1960s, whilst Gavin Ward, Brian Carey and David Speedie all donned a City jersey for the first time on the opening day of the 1993-94 campaign.

FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS
A number of players to have represented both clubs over the years including Johnny Anderson, Trevor Benjamin, Dave Buchanan, Nick Cusack, Derek Dougan, Steve Earle, Pat Gavin, Jimmy Holmes, Dave Langan, Neil Lewis, Des Linton, Josh Low, Paul Moran, Richie Norman, David Oldfield, Alan Paris, Lee Philpott, Brian Potts, Jimmy Quinn, David Rennie, Lammie Robertson, Kevin Russell, Richard Smith, Tony Spearing and Alan Waddle.

I have amended my previous post:

Lako:

Leicester win = delighted
Leicester draw = pleased
Leicester lose = Upset, but happy that he has never bet against his team in his life.

Me

Leicester win = delighted
Leicester draw = pleased
Leicester lose = upset + £50

Still think my scenario looks the best. :icon_lol:

Why are you getting upset about something that hasn't happened and most probably won't happen????

Maybe he can time travel and this is a clue that it is going to happen? :icon_bigg

As I posted before......

I agree with Lako, this is disgraceful, you should never bet against your team to lose, and then for only a very small gain of £32.....:icon_roll

I disagree, I believe it cushions the defeat if the worst does happen.

and feel like a rat jumping ship if it does happen?

Not in the slightest, just feels like "laying off" a bet and IMO common sense.

Maybe we should have a poll to see what the general consensus is?
