Some thoughts ahead of Posh's visit.

I saw them lose 4-3 to Barnsley last week. Defensively, their full backs are particularly vulnerable ( Tom Kennedy can't play as he is on loan from us. His replacement is likely to be Tommy Rowe, who is essentially a winger rather than a left back. The regular right back, Mark Little is out through injury and a decent winger can give his replacement a rough time). Do we have the wingers to wreak havoc?

Their key player is Grant McCann. He plays just in front of the back four, distributing passes to the likes of Tomlin and Boyd. Dangerous from free kicks.

Tomlin, a Leicester lad and supporter, looks a little stocky, but is surprisingly skilful. Not the quickest of movers, but has an ability to shoot accurately so must be watched.

Up front, Taylor is pacy and can cause problems for big defenders such as Bamba. An impressive goal return for someone who very few of us had heard about at the start of the season. Their other striker, Sinclair, is also quick but struggling to make the grade at Championship level following the move from Macclesfield.

If we are to have any serious thoughts about challenging for promotion then teams like Posh should be defeated at home.

In terms of Barnsley, I was most impressed by Jacob Butterfield in midfield. He's a younger version of Wellens, with a decent left peg and an ability to score goals. Let's get him in January with Wellens going the other way + £ 500k.

Thank you Pen3 for a thoughtful post.

How sad that people should have concentrated on a fairly inoffensive last sentence when the post generally is excellent. I knew nothing about Peterborough and these comments are very interesting.

Don't lie, you loved the length ;)

No Blake? ****ing moron.

I would like to see Tunchev in the side if he is fit and either Fernandes or Johnson for Danns but I don't think it will happen. It may well be the same side as against Hull except for St Ledger replacing Mills.

Family stand is indeed free for children under 8! I told Alfie he can go every week, but he would have to make his own way there if I have a game myself. Not sure it went down too well with the missus (considering he is 2 years old).

This will be his first proper league match and only his second ever game after Real Madrid preseason. I'm hoping the 6 months since have taught him to stay SEATED!!!

Can anybody tell me if I'm allowed to take a DSLR camera into the ground? Want to get some good photos :D.

For anyone relying on RL tomorrow - good news. Alan Young is going up to Scotland so wont be part of the commentary team!

The one time I decide to come up from London to actually watch the match...

Who have they got on to replace him? Could ask Mr Yakubu, if he's free?

I always assumed that he always just phoned in from Scotland to do the commentary anyway. I didn't realise that he was actually at the games
