Its not so bad if they include taking away the old Appliance in the Instillation fee,for larger objects obviously

:038: :038: Brilliant mate. Is there anyway you could screen shot it or something with your fancy wireless set up so you can post a picture, i know we wont get the full effect as we will be viewing it through normal monitors but we may get an idea.

I'll give it a go, I suspect you will lose a lot due to your pc monitor not being HD, but I'll still have a go

edit, sorry Leroy, just repeated what you said

Can someone explain to me why PC monitors aren't able to show HDTV pictures in all their glory?

It's something I've read in a lot of places but I haven't read an explanation that makes sense yet.

Most PC monitors can display to the same or higher resolution than broadcast HDTV pictures, so presumably the problem is something else not related to the resolution?

no its down to my lack of knowledge about computers oh great one from upon high, I bow down to your greatness!

I wasn't doubting what you said, I've seen the same thing on other sites, I just want to know the reason.

I would doubt almost anything I say about computers tbh. i can do a lot of stuff and have built one up from bits before but as to how they actually work its all black magic to me and as for screen resolutions I just brought the biggest monitor I could afford at the time.:icon_wink

pardon me for being a prat, but what exactly is hd tv, i understand hight definition but how can it be any better than what is already on offer. what exactly is improved?

because is it worth £300 to see the pitch better

The picture is transmitted and display in twice as many vertical lines as standard tv, therefore offering an improved pciture.

Not really no, although I would think it's got something to do with the actual make up of an HD picture. Like you say, as opposed to resolution.

It was very interesting last night if anybody saw it, especially the bit where the insects became infected with some kind of fungi or virus (cant remember which) and it grew inside them before finally bursting out of there heads.

Yeh that was one of the weirdest things I had ever seen. Cool images though.
