Given his recent performances, I think we'd be mad to let big Dan leave on a free.

Assuming he is happy with 3rd/4th choice CB of course.

Letting him go and replacing him with another back up will just be pointless and a waste of transfer funds and time.

Jakupovic should go so I fully expect a 5 Yr contract announced for him in the next few days.

Definitely. He's a big, athletic player with limited technical ability. He's not good enough for full back or central midfield but he's effective as a centre back.
