Maybe it is still just me. But again, I thought Maybury was awful. Get rid.

Fcuk off get some perspective. We have just seen an amazing game which we won, you should be happy with that not stupidly winging about players. I bet you booed at half time didnt you.

Maybury is a good player who I thought played well today. He struggled because Stearman wasnt fit and couldnt get forward and overlap. Therefore Maybury had to cover his man alot and was restricted. True he hasnt been as good this season but I cant believe you wingeing..

Didnt you notice that Hull didnt have a sniff down their left????????? This was down to MAYBURY and Stearman. All Hulls joy came down thier right.

1st point about accusing me of me booing. Only 1 answer i'm afraid, and I will come down to your level (using the same tone that you used towards me) so you understand it. Get Fooked!!

2nd point. You have contradicted yourself in one sentance. "Maybury played well today" & "He struggled"

Not the basis for a good argument is it?

Yes thier is. You posted a pointless negative post. Maybury didnt offer a lot going forward, granted. Although bar the Hume goal he was the only player that worked the keeper until Joey scored.

You intial point regards Maybury led me to believe that you could be compared to the fcuking mindless idiots who booed at half time. Aplogies but think about what you post. I couldnt understand why you were posting such a stupid post after our team had won and the player in question hadnt played that badly.

I think the evidence for Mayburys performance would be to look at the amount of joy Hull had down thier left.....absoluetley nothing. Job done Maybury and Stearman,(who incidently didnt look fit and therefore hindering Mayburys attacking influence.

Can you come up with a conter arguement for Mayburys perforance or are you going to stick by your factless post?

I am a realist, I run 2 businesses. I need to concentrate on the negative aspects and improve them. Yes it's nice getting compliments, but they aren't very constructive. I focus on Maybury, Williams and Hughes because in my opinion they are the key areas that require improvement

Think about what I post. - Get real. Do you really think when I made my first post, I for one minute expected to get accused of booing. I saw no connection to compare me to them. Thanks for the apology though.

Hull didn't have any joy down the left simply because they are shite. Not because Maybury was good

Maybury put a good move on Rogers in the second half, granted. But then proceeded to scuff his shot. There is no point in doing half a job. If you don't get the results, the efforts were pointless

As I have stated in a previous post about Maybury. I am prepared to accept that my opinion is in the minority. I am not prepared to accept that I am wrong

Indeed, I think it is because on talking balls we have some "fairly" intelligent people (exceptions accounted for) with passionate views and remain convicted to their views, without being swayed by peer pressure. We can have a good banter without name calling (sometimes) and in general it is all good.

Or does it just look this way because other LCFC sites have an average mentality of a bent paper clip and the intelligence of a dead squirrel?

I've always loved the idea of a three-in-a-bed with John Inman and Hulk Hogan...

Oh dear......enough already Alex....

In all honesty I though Maybury had a mare yesterday. He has had a poor season, but he looked aloth better on the wing until yesterday, so I am prepared to accept he maybe had an off day. If Stearman wasn't fit, as Pontarse said, then we should have had Maybury at RB and Sylla down the right. Maybury was playing Right Wing, and was not often further forward than the halfway.

I tend to agree that Maybury was poor, especially going forward, however I do feel that we look more solid down the right hand side with him and Stearman as oppose to somebody like Momo. One thing I will say is that Maybury's attitude and commitment has been first class since Levein left the club.

Ok if if you dont play Maybury whats the answer? Who would you play down the right??? Please dont say Sylla!?!

I seem to remember that Hull yesterday gave our left hand side a bit of a grilling. The first goal came from it and this pattern continued throughout the whole match, unlike the right hand side which has nicely marshalled by Maybury and Stearman.

Maybury has been inconnsistent compared to last season but I think he has become some what of a boo boys player with some sections of the crowd which to be honest I personally find hard to take. To be fair to Maybury he has played in three different positions this season alone!

I think there have been other players far more deserving in critisium this season than Maybury. Namely Sylla and Williams whos efforts can genuinely be questioned.

In relation to not getting results I think you will quiet clearly find that we did get the necessary results yesterday. Namely 3 points.

Thats the main crux of the problem IMO, maybury is ok for me, but our left hand side is terrible, an out of position left back being covered by an out of position midfielder will cause us problems all season. We can probably get away with it if at least one of them is in thier natural position.

Fingers crossed that Brevett and Welsh are the answer, both looked good yesterday too.

I thought Brevett looked quiet mobile for a 36 year old in the few mins he was on, although he only had a few touches.

Everyone gets a pass mark from me apart from Gerrbrand and Williams who were poor if not very poor.

Maybury was ok, just as good as Stearman. I've noticed that when one plays well, the other does too, perhaps as they rely on each others strengths throughout the game. When Maybury isn't as effective it hinders Stearman and when Stearman isn't as good it highlights the limitations of Maybury especially in attack.

Just a good job that over recent games both have been playing well, and although I thought Stearman struggled with Elliott yesterday both were ok.

I hope not as these two are loanees and they will be off soon, unless we intend to sign them on full time.

If not Maybury? I don't know. I might be tempted to play Maybury at RB and push Stearman forward. Other option is to bring Smith over to the right (if still with us), Welsh on the left. Maybury to the bench.

Boo boys - Never heard them on at Maybury. I sit in the family stand, with, you guessed it, my family. Not the best place to hear the booing. I'm with you though,I find it hard to take. I think the boo boys have got into the habit of booing a bad performance regardless of the previous weeks football. Saturday at HT was appaling

You are correct that other players have been worse than Maybury. I do see potential in Maybury. However, I am beginning to doubt if he can deliver it though, that for me is the frustrating thing about him. He looks like he can do it, but I fear he can't. He has started to put some passion into his play, I suppose that can't be all bad. Williams and Sylla I see no potential.

As for not achieving results, I was referring to players personal results as opposed to the team as a whole. We can all ride on the success of our team if the rest of the team are doing their job. In my opinion, the teams job would have been done a lot more effective if the weaker individuals proved their true worth. Or maybe they really are proving their true worth.

I think Stearman should be given the time to recover from his ankle injury as his form is dropping. If Maybury drops back to Right Back it may by worth trying Hammond at Right Midfield given how poor Sylla and Smith have been. We do have a history of playing strikers on the wings.
