Thats the main crux of the problem IMO, maybury is ok for me, but our left hand side is terrible, an out of position left back being covered by an out of position midfielder will cause us problems all season. We can probably get away with it if at least one of them is in thier natural position.

Fingers crossed that Brevett and Welsh are the answer, both looked good yesterday too.

I thought Johannson played well again, he's been a consistent solid defender since CL left and has done nothing wrong as far as I can see. Having said that I didn't go to Ipswich so can't say anything about his performance there.

Hughes is out of position and I'd go for Welsh on the wing and Hughes in the middle and drop Williams.

Maybury's a full back, he can just about cope in there at best, but he doesnt have the guile to create stuff for us. he strives manfully and has not really let us down. But when we insist on heaving the pill over the midfield's heads he and all the others obviously struggle to get a grip on the centre third. Having said that we ain't got the confidence yet to ping it about in the middle, just wish we would pass it through them a little bit more, when we do Hume and Fryatt look capable of giving most Championship defences the shits.
