What about playing 4-3-1-2 with Connolly just behind the front two? :o

Who would your front two be?

Who would provide the width?

Have you been to a match recently?

De Vries and Dublin
Stewart and Maybury
Yes

Silly idea if anything Dublin would work better ebhind the front two IMO and i would rather have Tiatto than Stewart providing width on the left!

Walker 8 - Nothing he could do with the goal and did everything else v.well
Stewart 7 - Solid in defence and did ok at most other things
Dabizas 8 - gave very little away, scored and with Dublin restricted CA to few chances
Dublin 8 - Won everything in the air, casual at times in the 1st half but got the winner.
Maybury 7 - Played very well apart from their goal.
Tiatto 7.5 - Worked hard, won tackles, passed well
Williams 7.5 - grew in importance as the game wore on, found time in a congested midfield to keep possession and got forward to support MDV.
Gudjonsson 9 - Top man for me. Won every tackle he had to make, broke up their attacks frequently and more often than not got us moving forward again. Lennon-esque?!
Hughes 7 - Played well but tired and faded towards the end understandably
Gillespie 7.5 - missed a sitter but was a constant thorn in the Charlton side.
De Vries 8 - Without MDV we wouldn't have been half as effective. He held the ball up and allowed our midfielders to break forward with confidence. Proved a real problem with his strength and never gave their defence time on the ball.

Subs:

Nalis 6 -
Connolly 6

Might be a bit too late to count, but computer not been working till now so here goes anyway...:

Walker 8 - Confident, after a new contract perhaps  :?:
Maybury 7 - Let Konchesky by a bit too easy for the goal, but dug in.
Dublin 8 - Besides the goal, thought it one of his best performances -more of the same, and more often please Dion...
Dabizas 8 - Ditto Dublin...
Stewart 7 - Dug in and worked more than usual.
Gillespie 8 - Excellent 2nd half, enjoyed his battle with Hriedesson
Hughes 8 - Very encouraging, linked well with MDV & midfield
Gudjohnsson 9.5 - MOM Lennon-esque is the best discription I've read
Williams 8 - Beginning to settle into CL's team more now. Keep it up.
Tiatto 9 -Workrate incredible, lost ball once so not a 10  8)
De Vries 8 - Frightened their backline to death...very impressive.

Nalis 6 - Little time, but that was fine ...
Connolly 6 - Ditto Nalis

CL 10 - Tactically spot on, even Curbishley acknowledged we caught him out with 4-5-1....
Blue Army 10 - I knew when i arrived in the pub that it was going to be our day.........Beautiful 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Yes

Sure you have Joe.

Dublin is nowhere near good enough to play up front any more as his best asset is his headering which we still benefit from if hes playin def and goes up for corners. also would you seriously drop Gillespie because he has been superb lately!!

Stewart 4 - can't pass, can't beat a man, can't dribble, set pieces ok

stewart was good on saturday and has been for a while with many consistant performances. i feel you have based this score on wheter you like him or not as it is not at all accurate!!

any way. for my scores

Walker 8.5
Stewart 8
Dabizas 8
Dublin 8
Maybury 8
Tiatto 9
Williams 9
Gudjonsson 9
Hughes 9
Gillespie 8.5
De Vries 9
