I’ve always liked that Lloyd Dyer tore the league to shreds but turned down a chance to play in the Prem, I reckon he knew he wouldn’t be as effective.
Honestly, I reckon he just picked a three year contract over the one year extension we offered.

If people seriously think Gray wouldn’t be ripping that league to shreds you need to start watching another sport

Quite possibly, given the support and run of games Barnes has had

I'm not quite sure that the same thing could be said of Ghezzal or Diabate

Until they go out on loan, under the same circumstances, it's all a bit hypothetical, really.
Personally, I think you may be pleasantly surprised. ;)

If we brought Barnes back and sent those two out on loan I'd be pleasantly feckin delighted...

What a shock

In his best season for us he scored 3 premier league goals and goal 1 assist.

Even this season when’s he’s basically a regular....2 goals, 1 assist.

He did “ok” in the championship when we signed him 6 goals, 1 assist (albeit in 40 odd games). I’ve personally not seen a lot to suggest his attacking game has developed significantly since then. Defensively he’s certainly improved.

Fun player to watch sometimes but Gray doesn’t influence games often enough for me. There isn’t a great deal to suggest he’d do better than Barnes in the championship.

Perhaps I should be watching a different sport. There’s some boxing on tonight.

NFL.

In the interests of full disclosure our brilliant loanee was dispossessed in full expansive mode, leading to the McGoldrick goal. Lovely to watch him in full flow in the Championship though.

they were also talking pre game that WBA's wingers don't work back defensively

You're absolutely correct. He works harder than he did, but his contribution at the 'right end' is nowhere near good enough.

Harvey Barnes scores again for WBA.

Let’s bring him back once Puel has gone. Not before.
