I bet you missed the alternate single and double bonds part DV, everyone misses that bit out (apart from Hector obviously :))

A tale, probably apocryphal, has it that the orange carrot was bred in the Netherlands in the seventeenth century to honour William of Orange. Though the orange carrot does date from the Netherlands in the sixteenth century, it is unlikely that honouring William of Orange had anything to do with it!
