I've just been reading The Mirror and apparently if Le Tissier's takeover of Saints goes through, they'll be making an approach for Pearson.

Why would he want to go back down to shitty league 1 again with a minus ten deduction and have the same expectations as last year? Shite story and rumour by the mirror.

Somehow I doubt he'd go there after being treated like shit last time after he kept them up.

Besides, why would he want to lower himself to that level again?:icon_roll

Saints are also competing in what should be a much stronger league one this season coming, very odd to even contemplate him going there

looks near enough the same strength of competition in league one as last season.

You think were not good enough to win that league again?

I thought we were talking about whether it would be more difficult for Southampton to escape league one? I think they'll have much more difficulty doing it this coming season than if they were there last....

Exactly.

Don't know about you Mr.Fox but I preferred promotion to be as easy as possible!

We made it look easy with a combination of good, professional performances and some poor opposition....

The former championship teams we were playing against like Southend and Colchester weren't nearly as difficult to see off as Norwich and Charlton will be next season.

You can understand the logic of the story in terms of Crouch being involved in appointing Pearson last time.

However, so was our current Chief Exec Lee Hoos & on a day to day basis NP would have dealt more with Hoos than Crouch.

In terms of current standing of both clubs, it has no logic at all, unless it was known NP & MM had fallen out and there is no word of that happening

Even if that was the case, based on last years results, you would expect a Championship club to be interested

You didnt answer the question.

We'd face much stiffer opposition if we had to do it again this year, if we had the same squad as last year and next year's L1 opposition, I don't think we'd manage automatic promotion.

Then what chance do we have in the championship with hardly any new players and influencial loans gone.
