Possible forum change

I'm considering a change to the forum but would like to get some opinions first.

I propose to keep the forum the same as it currently is for people who are logged in, but people who aren't logged in will see ads.

There are a lot of people who read the forum without ever becoming a member, I think it's fair that these people who don't make a contribution should 'pay' for this by seeing ads.

Are these pop-ups you're referring to?

Fair enough. Will these people be made aware that when they become members and log in that the adrvertising will stop?

No pop-ups, I'd try using banner ads, Google ads etc. If people ignore them I'll remove them anyway like I did with the arcade.

Yes. There will be a much more prominent box at the top of each page explaining the benefits of registering.
