FWIW I once stayed on the campsite at Caolasnacon (please forgive any error in the spelling thereof)

On a regular basis?

I think we stayed there for short periods in three succesive years. We didn't 'stay' there in the scottish sense of the word.

Do you know the place?

It's just down the Road from me,right on Loch Leven.

I know. I was asking the question of Durham after his question above.

Fantastic area to live in - or is it?

I prefer a nice hot cup of tea to sex these days.....

Doesn't half make your willy sore though......

Sorry - I popped out and missed most of this!

I live in a place called Netherley, which is just south of Aberdeen City Centre (about 6 miles) and just a little north of Stonehaven - so I think I beat Highland in terms of how far north we both are!

I think he will get better scenery, but more midges!

As for Oxford City, I think Garry Parker was still playing for us when I played there. I used to be into speedway as well and the Leicester supporters club (even though the speedway had long since finished at Leicester) played the Oxford speedway supporters as a warm-up match for a speedway riders match.

A weird experience as there were 2,000 or so in the crowd and they put out live commentary on the game over the tanoy! They had 3 or 4 current Oxford City players in their team and I always remember looking into their dressing room seeing a number of them snorting a line at half-time (must have thought they were pros). One of them went nuts in the second half and got sent-off!

You have a lot in common with Highland it seems....

Do you still watch it?

I had a go in the early '80's and ended up breaking my leg in three places!

Steve Regeling and Rolf Gramstad were good mates and I had a few laughs with Les Collins. I only watch it on sky nowadays as the nearest track is 2.5 hours drive away.

Good

I had one go in Newcastle and broke my leg! The nurses were very good to me when they found out I did it riding a speedway bike mind you!

Just had some good mates that rode for Leicester and followwed them for 10 years until they packed in. I sometimes went to see Steve Regeling ride for Kings Lynn, Ipswich, Exeter and Middlesborough once the Lions had closed down.

Oh bugger! They go and cancel a derby game for some glorified Anglo-Italian cup game - will they ever get it right! ;-)

The son of an IT bod at the OU (Webbo will understand this, even if nobody else does) says that this is an Academy fixture, not the 'stiffs'.
