fox58 will be spitting feathers.

I think "spitting feathers" must mean something different in the LE-postcode area. I've always understood it to mean 'thirsty'. Am I wrong, or are you suggesting that 58 will be so upset by his narrow defeat that he will need a settling drink?

You're OK. I've done a little surfing and find that it means "to be angry, furious", as well as having the meaning that I ascribed to it. You clearly meant 'angry, furious'; I've never heard it used in that way before.

Any ideas how many teams are going up/down yet?

To be honest, I want to see how this format goes. In the long run, it might be easier if the divisions come down to 20, so I would expect to be looking to relegate a couple more than are promoted.

And of course, there might be somebody else who is just dying to administrate the League in future years.

Are you tiring of it Boc ?

I like the format, thanks Boc.

Note to self....must work on my poor defensive record - the worst in all the leagues!

I can't believe the wide difference in aggregate scores for instance footyguts has a total of 81 in 3 games whereas there are 2 with a total of only 11 in 3 games.

There have been 3 weeks so far. Week One can almost be ignored as far as scoring is concerned - only one match was played.

footyguts has been involved in two highly competitive games - hence his high aggregate.

The two teams who have got aggregates of only 11 have not submitted predictions so far and are, in effect, place-holders. In week three they played each other, so their aggregates are in fact just the number of points scored by their opponent in one match (newton) and two matches (lieing disliked crisp-thieving toad).
