Interesting to note the position of Southampton. Exceeding expectations in third place at this stage. Their form slipped away somewhat with them picking up 21 points from their remaining matches. This was enough for a 7th place finish.

We have four points more than they did at the same point. If we have a final 17 matches as we did last year (7 wins, 7 defeats), we'd have enough for 67 points - 5th place last year.

Well the difference is even more dramatic than that. They were 10 points behind 1st place, and only 3 points clear of 5th. We're 10 points CLEAR of 5th and it looks like we'll be 3 points clear at the top. Some of the pundits keep going on about how Southampton fell away, but they never really broke clear of the top 6. We have.

We still appear to be treated as an irreverence when they are talking of who's going to win the title.

At the start of this afternoons game they mentioned they it could be a new Premier league record if Arsenal win it as that would mean 4 different teams one after another. Well the same applies if Leicester win it, but was that mentioned as a possibility, no it wasn't.

Drawing against Bournemouth was our bubble bursting. What the feck is losing at home to fellow relegation hopefuls Chelsea? Certainly no wheels left at Arse.

Unusually wanting all the top 8 that are playing to win in the cup this weekend, to help with fixture congestion.
