I know I say it every year but it's true. The standard in the PL gets worse and worse.

The defending is tragically bad. The managers are almost entirely shite. There aren't even that many good forwards.

The league is full of pissy passy mid-level midfielders that ponce about and earn millions for it.

There are some exceptional players. Salah, Palmer, Saka, De Bruyne, Van Dijk and a few others. But blimey the gap between what I see and what they tell me I'm seeing is staggering.
Pepball nullifies anything truly exceptional.

By the way… great result with Southampton losing. They really are ****ed.

Absolutely agree. I've been watching quite a lot of Bundesliga this season & last. Hell of a lot more enjoyable, higher standard of play & looks more fun.

watch some L1 & L2 football highlights some time if you need cheering up. The absolute hilarity of watching carthorse defenders trying to play out from the back takes some beating.

It's ****ing ludicrous really. You'd think somebody somewhere would actually be able to work out that trying to emulate the style of a coach with a billion pound budget to spend on players might just have a noticable flaw.

Ange now only 3/1 for the sack. Highly amusing. Only O'Neil & Lopetegui ahead of him.

Too short for me to back but I'd go in at 5/1. It should be obvious to everyone by now that you just can't play that way at this level. & the " I'll never change, it's my way or no way" isn't brave commitment to a philosophy, it's just stubborn stupidity.
This season is a carbon copy of last. Great start, then it starts to slip. The odd great result in a one off game when it all clicks, followed by a succession of shite.
& then the inevitable pile up of muscle injuries from playing the way they do.

It's fine in that silly little pub league over the border mate, where if you get exposed it's by teams with forwards that couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat & you've already won by 60 mins & can rest your players. Doesn't work in an actual football league.
I reckon Levy has already worked it out but needs to wait for a suitable candidate.

It was a bonkers appointment from the get go. If he was a decent manager he’d have had a job at a level higher than Celtic before he hit his late 50’s.

Having said that, the club is clearly rotten to the core. Even managers at the highest level have tried and failed.

Lose to Rangers on Thursday and it could be curtains for him.
