Claude has won just about all the player of the year awards. Last year, our other centre half, Youl Mawene won all the awards. I would consider them to be the best defensive partnership outside the Prem and good enough to make the step up.
Nothing against you mate here and I respect you for coming to a rival site just before a big match but after watching you today and the bits I have seen throughout the rest of the season I dont see any of your players that will make the step up easily, i may be wrong and I hope I am if you go up but unless you have a fair few million to spend i think you will really struggle.

tbh they weren't that great first half though!

they were given a real tough time against Hume and Fryatt, just a pity we couldn't do more with the pressure we had.

Billy Davies has said we were slack in the first half. He said the player had taken there foot off the gas cos we were already assured a play off place.

Considering the injuries we had this season, we have done well to get in the play offs. We were far from a full strength side today. Our game with you at Deepdale was not a far reflection of our team. Also our pitch has been from our usual high standard this season and that has stopped us play our good fotbal at times. Callum Davidson considers Preston to be the best footbaling side in the division. Did you not see our televised game against Ipswich when we won 4-0?

No I admit I didnt see that game. Like I said no hard feelings mate, I love the underdog spirit of any team like yourselves. Good luck.

PNE are an extremely well organised team and reminded me a little of Wigan, who won 0-2 at Filbo last season.

Defensively tenacious and committed, on today's performance, PNE are better than the Palace team from last Friday and with Nugent absent, I would argue looked more likely than Reading to stay in the Prem - assuming you go through the play-offs

But you were still rather fortunate to win today.

Well I don't want Leeds to go up, don't mind any of the others.

Despite the results against us, I would say Palace looked the better side & more likely to go up

you havent played against the two paddys yet!!

Both McCarthy and Kisnorbo played at Deepdale earlier in the season - although that was when Kisnorbo was shite, but now he's all right.
;-)

And of course they still haven't played against the two Paddys at centre-half(s).

Look boc admit you are wrong!

I didnt state which two paddys when i said 'you havent played against the two Paddys yet.' They played against two Paddys today, Patrick Gerrbrand is just as much paddy as is Patrick Kisnorbo and Patrick McCarthy.

But it's not Patrick Gerrbrand, is it? It's Patrik Gerrbrand. Patrick = Paddy. Patrik = some kind of Scandanavian name but not Paddy.

And in any case, you can't be suggesting that Patrik with either of the Patricks is as formidable as the two Patricks together - or the PNE partnership, which is what was being discussed.

I was really disapointed with Preston yesterday, there tactics were very negative. In the second half they just wanted to waste time in any way shape or form. There was nothing captivating about their team and I really think they would struggle in the prem with those types of tactics.

Whaley looked a quality player in the first half although he faded some what. On the whole it is a results business and Preston got it but I would be bloody bored watching that week in week out.

Oh I totally agree. They have the results and we dont. It just wasnt pretty or in the spirit of the game yesterday in the second half.Granted it was effective.

And lets hope that we are in the same position as them this time next season and that RK has instilled the same mentality and determination to win as Billy Davies obviously has done with PNE.

But lets try and do it without Danny "Elbows" Dichio the cheating kunt

He actually wouldnt be a bad signing as a back up striker!! We need someone with some experience of this league who is also a physical player, ala Dichio or Neil Shipperly. It would compliment what we already have.

Horsfield, but it isn't going to happen as we are without a pot in which to piss in at the moment.
