Bad luck Leicester fans. I didn expect to win this game and that was before your early goal.

Of the play off teams,we had the strongest form before todays games. Now it is even stronger as the other 3 teams only managed draws. We have now won 4 games on the bounce.

Good luck mate - used to live and work in your part of the world - give my regards to Jim Bowen.........:icon_lol:

yes there was but i think it was for hillsborough disaster. he got a mention though. very emotional

and some members of his family were there, very emotional. The birch handled it well though.

Overall today not bad thought Preston were a very dirty/physical side and that the lines man at the Kop end of the ground had a shocker in the second half.

Maybury was our poorest player today, however i have never really rated him at the back and much prefer to see him in midfield. Also I didnt think Williams had a very good game today, some poor corners and other touches that let him down IMO.

Just how long was it before Sylla actually touched the ball, when it was in play, after coming on? I got it to about 10 minutes I think.

Good luck to Preston but if they are the team to go up then god help them, at least Sunderlands record wont last long.

Both sides didnt deserve to win. Typical end of season game. Lessons learnt.

City's midfield was non-existent. Preston were very organised but didnt have a stand-out player. Fryatt was simply superb and was unlucky when in a goalmouth scramble the ball wouldnt come down. Quite a lot of lessons learned today by Kelly, I'm sure.

Preston last 25 minutes, what a bunch of time-wasting cheating bastards. All the tricks in the book, despite standing at 6ft 5, Danny Dichio was like Bambi On Ice.

To be honesty, I am not that bothered that we lost today. If we win on Monday, I will dont care about todays game.

I was saying to my mate that I felt this was part of the problem today. The fans didnt really get behind the team as much as we have recently and most fans seems to be looking forward to the monday game more than today. Oh Im gettin all excited just thinking about it!

Quite possibly but I think certain players today were a touch lazy. I hope it proves right on Monday. Kelly in his pre-match interview has said to an extent it gives City a reality check.

i thought the atmosphere in the kop was nothing short of DEAD today. i could hear L1 alot and i dont know how many times i have said that since xmas possibly before that! i agree though i hope everyone is still up for it on monday and 5,000 odd fans behind that goal singing your hearts out for 90 minutes to get a decent win at the new ricoh.

Yeh I see what you are saying but it was my impression that the general feel around the club about todays game was that it was overshadowed by other events yesterday and the game monday and whilst Im not condoning that from professional players I feel it may have passed to them today and led to the performances we saw out there today.

On another point I cant believe pne didnt sell out their end, as a team chasing promotion I would expect all of their fans to be at every game, we can sell out a massive away allocation when we have nothing to play for.:038:
