Uh oh, the Jordan Stewart thing.... Prove me wrong Jordan please god, but he is not what I think he can be, by a long way yet. He has it all, pace, skill the lot, but at times has been awful this year.

At times he's been awful - but no more than most of the other players - and a lot less than some.
So why is Stewart the one who gets all the abuse?

I don't think its so much a case of letting Gillespie go,more of him choosing to go.His contract is up and even if we offer him a new one he may choose not to accept it or be offered a more lucrative one by another club.

An amazing post - what sort of club is going to offer the great Gillespie a "lucrative" contract.

Predicably, he has put on a bit of a show as his contract ends - scored a goal- and made a few decent crosses.

But, most of his runs are aimless, he is knocking on 30 which is a bad age for a winger and has a reputation for lack of focus both on and off the pitch.

He will be lucky to get another 'championship' side if he is turfed out at Leicester or rejects a lower offer here.

I hoped CL is not fooled by the late effort - get him out please!

We need a decent centre back, at least one striker who can score a few goals and a player (left or right) who can play wide. This is a minimum - but I think it would be best to concentrate on bringing in 3 more decent players with potential than a Micky style dozen no-hopers.

To go out: Canero (not viable for whatever reason), Walker (if he wants too much money) Gemmill ( pointless signing him and pointless keeping him) Wright (never going to make it now) O'Grady (ditto) Dabizas (won't make much difference if he stays or goes) Nallis (retiring as I understand it - has lost all interest as the season as gone on).
I would keep Dublin only because he is a useful all purpose sub).

Gillespie has been quality since CL has been here, and CL is getting the best out of him, so i want him to stay and i am sure he will!!

THAT is an astonishing post. Do you actually go to any of the games ??

Without Gilliespie we are a poorer side indeed. Probably the player of the season - if not he's a close second

and i will third it.

that guy obviously doesnt go to any lcfc games just watches the highlights

I won't get into this pathetic I've watched more games than you line - which is brought out when posters have nothing worth saying.

However, I have to say that the present side hardly draws me to the Walker's anymore.

I can rarely remember when we had a team which is so devoid of talent.

That said, I do believe CL, is on the right lines -whether he is given time to sort things if the team starts next season as poorly as they are finishing this is another matter.

I stand by what I have said about KG - if anyone thinks he is the player of the season or of any season or anywhere near that accolade - God help Leicester City!

Strange how you have such a strong opinion when you obviously do not go to the games.
If you did go you would realise that, this season, Gillespie is one of the only players worthy of a guaranteed starting place

Let me guess - you go on the radio leicester phone in, don't you ?

Definate starting place for Hughes IMO.... and obviously MDV ;-)

Give O'grady a chance- isn't he only 18!!! And hasn't played a first team game yet! Have you even seen him play? because i've always been impressed when i've watched the for the youth team

I think they could do with another holding midfield player to give gudjonsson a run for his money. i think he is good at this level but he was a bit crap yesterday - if you look at wigan its clear what a good player in his position can do (graham kavanagh and their no. 16, forget his name)

I would like to see Stu Taylor come in from Arsenal or maybe Richard Wright to give Walker some competition.

Id like to see Dabizas go, and play McCarthy and Dublin as centre backs with Matty Heath as support, Id like to see Kenton play abit more before saying wether we should buy him or not.

I think Jordan Stewart is a very good player but he loses confidence far to quickly and people get on his back far to quickly which doesnt help.

Gillespie is a good winger, and i agree he has improved ten fold since CL arrived however i think he is alittle slow and lazy and lacks a bit of confidence to run at the full backs.

I would also like to see Moore have an extended run in the side he looked good for the 5 minutes he was on against wigan.

Thank you for your kind thoughts Homer.

I can more or less guarantee that I have attended many more City games than you - but you are right in as much as I find the present team a turn off. i don't need to watch every match to realise what sort of state we are in - just as I don't need to attend funerals to know that a corpse will be in attendance.

I admit I may have been a bit harsh about the prospects for O'Grady but as far as Gillespie I think that anyone who puts his undoubted revival down to anything other than concern regarding getting another contract here or elsewhere is being somewhat naive.

As a matter of fact I expect he will be offered a new contract, he will stay at Leicester and i think you will be disappointed in his performances next season. I was merely mocking the notion that other clubs would be forming a queue to offer him a more "lucrative contract".

You may not like my views but I happen to be usually right in my prognoses - e.g. Adams was hopeless, CL was a good choice but needs time, this season'ssquad was awful and never had any chance of challenging for promotion, we have no quality strikers at all .... but we are not quite bad enough to be relegated .. and things will slowly improve.
