Why is a UFO hovering above the Beijing Olympic stadium? I've been down there recently and don't remember seeing that. Perhaps if I look up occasionally.

it was just peeking in

ithanku

I think he is referring to Beaumont being a bit of a hole.

Yes and the West End is such a salubrious spot isn't it?
Plus, Beaumont Leys is a bit of a hole which is much easier to get to for supporters.

Compared to Leys yes it is.

Not in the 70s it wasn't.
Beaumont Leys is a very big area, not all of it is like Beirut. They weren't proposing to build the new stadium in the middle of a housing estate. If memory serves me right, the plan was to use land north of were the shopping centre is now.
It would've made a lot more sense to build it there than it's current location.

You are indeed correct.

I disagree. Leicester City should be in the City of Leicester.

To be honest I'm very glad we left the out-of-town shopping/football/lobotomy experience to the tosspots that inhabit Gay Pride Park.

As soon as the move from Filbo was made, all sense of history was lost as far as location is concerned.
Beaumont Leys would be better than the current, equally meaningless, location.

No, he isn't. That location would have been OK for people arriving by car - but what about the rest of us?

You're just being selfish Bob, it would give easier access to the majority of people.

The majority of people that live outside of Leicester, yes. But for those that support Leicester City that actually live in the city of Leicester...

If I was still there, I'd have found it considerably less convenient to drive or get public transport out of town, instead of walking down like I used to do.

Yeah but I used to live in BL so I'm biased :icon_bigg

:icon_lol: and I have to get a plane rather than walk these days.

I'm still waiting for Blue Maniac to pick me up in that taxi, actually. We're going to miss the big kick off, I just know it!

Bad example...

Pride Park is no more "out-of-town" than the old Baseball Ground.. in fact, it's closer to the city centre and a LOT easier to get to...
