Proven, Kelly has done nothing

On this day last season we had 46pts and a goal difference of -7.

Today we have 46pts and a goal difference of -7.

So to my mind he has done exactly zilch since he got here

But 40 points and -17 at this stage would qualify as having done something

kept us up last season?

There is a school of argument that this was more due to the "new manager" syndrome being experienced at Cov at the mo, supported by the fact that we went back to being a bit shit towards the last few games

Might be the case if he became manager on this day a year ago. But he didn't.
When he took over we were in the bottom three, we're not in the bottom three now. Therefore we have improved since he took over. Whether we would have improved more with someone else (or even Levein) in charge is a different matter.

As a footballing side we've got even worse. We're just lucky that 2 or 3 others have as well

The things that count in football are goals and points, we can't affect how the other teams perform when they aren't playing us, so all we can do if improve our points and goals.

These are identical to last season. I am not saying he has done nothing in a year, I am saying he has done nothing since he came here to improve our situation on where we were last year. As Melts said, it's just lucky that 4 or 5 other teams have also got worse, or failed to improve, this term aswell

But Kelly wasn't in charge for the first half of last season, you can't hold him responsible for what happened when he wasn't manager.
You can only compare what's happened since he took over. We're higher in the table now than we were when he took over and we've got more points per game than we had when he took over.
