So you lie to your new signing right off the bat,you undermine your credibility as an owner to other potential signings.You also have a new signing who is disgusted with the manner in which he was deceived and his trust has just been shredded along with the fact a Manager who made him a better player/person is leaving !!!!!

Fuchs signed when Pearson was manager and spoke about how he was a key factor in getting him to come to the club. Pearson was then sacked a matter of days after.

That season didn’t turn out too badly, did it?
