Also being linked to Newcastle. Even more ridiculous than the link to us.

No a chance, he’ll end up at a Champions League club. I’ve read that he will only work with a very good DoF because he doesn’t get involved in recruitment so....
Maybe he could recommend one, no one at our club seems to know how to start looking

But tedfoxxx mentioned “a very good DoF”.

That rules us out.
They were talking about him on James Richardson’s podcast today saying he’d be perfect for Man United. His Monaco team the year we were in the Champions League were so good, with a lot young and not very well known players. The list of players he’s trained and the club flogged is amazing, I can see a coach like that at Spurs or Milan or a club trying to build a project like that. Not a midtable Prem team or Newcastle.

He's such a good fit for the profile of the squad too.
Take Chilwell, Ndidi, Maddison, Soyuncu, Ricardo etc and put them at a sexier club and I think any coach would be up for that project. It’s just Leicester though innit. Always feels like we’re taking a punt on coaches rather than being an attractive club for some reason.

I would absolutely love it if the club did try to get him though. Not because I don’t personally have any faith in Puel but because it would be really encouraging to see us be proactive in picking a coach that would improve us. I get that part of Puel’s job has been making the squad younger and he’s doing that but if he hadn’t had the Southampton step between here and France I seriously doubt that whoever chooses our manager would have said ‘somebody get Claude Puel on the phone’.

Southampton did it when they sacked Adkins who was doing fine and had gotten them promoted the season before but when Pochettino became available from Espanyol they acted and benefited instantly and he moved them on to another level.

But I’m 99.99999% certain that we’ll finish the season with one of Puel, Moyes or Allardyce in charge.

money talks at the end of the day and a selling point for the club is if living in London is a must then they can and still get here easily, if we insist o living locally then that's just creating issues

Absolutely, a first-class train season ticket plus taxis/chauffers at either end barely registers compared to an EPL manager's actual salary

One of my favourite football stories is the one about Sir Alex Ferguson almost having an in his prime Ronaldinho in the bag, until he demanded his own personal helicopter to take him from London to Manchester every day.

I'd never heard that, brilliant

We had 21, yes 21, attempts at goal
We were caught offside so many times in the second half
Their keeper made some bloody good saves
We were wasteful in front of goal
Players passed, rather than shoot
Yep, all Claude's fault
Tossers
