Sounds like it was a fairly average performance from City today overall. I think it will be hard to beat Stoke, they've had some good results recently. However, 7 unbeaten for us now - I predict a 2-2 draw.

7 unbeaten makes it sound better than it is though, only 2 wins in that.

15th in the table, 6 points from relegation, 6 points from the playoffs. Typical mid-table team.

In hindsight, pleased with an away point, but again totally pissed of with a spineless effort and complete inability to show comfort when defending a lead.

Get rid of Matty Fryatt now, he is a curse. Put him in the squad and we throw away another lead, get another man sent off and defend too deep

Overall feeling - Pissed off

And why is it we can play fantastic with a very weakened side against the likes of Villa and then go back to mediocrity in the league.

RL introduced Patrick McCarthy...but the player they're talking to has an Aussie accent so I'm assuming it's Kisnorbo :icon_roll

He said...

Players are tired. Injuries don't help but the players coming in have done fantastic, they give 100%.

Didn't think McAuley's handball was deliberate.

Expects McCarthy to be captain again on Tuesday.

I can't begin to tell you how much I hate this fecking excuse. No matter how experienced the professional who uses it, it always sounds pathetic.

For the last 2 weeks I've had 3 children (all 3 and under) with chicken pox waking up throughout the night, constantly. I'd like to sit down with these lazy overpaid bastards and discuss exactly what it is they mean by the phrase "tired".

Wankers

Disagree completely. They will be tired from the villa game. The type of fatigue that you are talking about is completely different to the tiredness from football. You need sleep to recover. They need time for muscles to physically recover. To recover from pulls, strains, bumps and bruises. No matter how much they get paid, they still need this time. They are worked hard and will be physically exhausted after playing. It's easy to criticse when we have gone to QPR and 'only' got a point (which i think is a good one at that) but we have to be realists and with the squad that we have got we can't expect a great deal more.

Blimey, you've fallen for it as well.

I used to work in a dairy for 9 years, incredibly physical hard work. I used to work Saturday mornings, come home and go straight into the saturday afternoon kick off and sprint around for 90 minutes up front. I used to go out on the piss that night, wake up for work at 0430 and then finish at 1000 and make the 10.30 KO for my Sunday league team.

I also used to train for both teams on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

I am in a group of 1000's of people in this situation, so please excuse me for not being sympathetic and not agreeing with you.

Playing for our Saturday team was an ex City player in his early 30's, and believe me, he couldn't keep up and would argue my point to you

What, you used to work at Long Clawson dairy (taking a guess there!) and you call that 'physically hard work'!! I bet you used to stand eating stilton all day!
Back on the point I still think these boys will be tired but I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Why are the players never tired when they go on a winning run then?

They are. But when you are on a winning run people don't ask why you didn't win or why you were a little lucky. They just look at the positives. Fatigue is also masked when you are winning because players get by on adrenaline and the fact that they are being successful.
