Leicester City goalkeeper Rab Douglas has completed his protracted loan move to League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.
The experienced Scotland international, 35, has only just returned from a month-long loan spell at Millwall in League One.
Boss Paul Lambert, who played with Douglas at Celtic, told Wycombe's website: "I wanted an experienced keeper and now I've got one.
"Rab is a mountain of a man, and he'll be a great addition to our squad."
Despite reports that Douglas had signed until the end of the season, Football League rules state that outside the transfer window, players are only allowed to move on loan for a maximum of three months.
Once the January transfer window is opened, Wycombe would then be able to sign him on a longer-term loan for the rest of the season - or sign him permanently.
Lambert already has two loan keepers at Adams Park - Blackburn's Frank Fielding and Bolton's Przemyslaw Kazimierczak.
The teenage duo were signed after Wanderers lost both their senior keepers, Scott Shearer and Jamie Young, to long-term injuries.
However, Lambert explained: "Prez is due to go back to Bolton toon, and although Frankie has done a brilliant job, he could be recalled by Blackburn in the new year.
"I can't take any risks with such a vital position, so that's why I've signed Rab, who will be a great help to Frankie." Douglas, who has not played for Leicester's first team since February 2006, made seven appearances during his recent stint with Millwall.
