Yes, absolutely agree. They haven't challenged his view though, have they? They've called him a string of expletives and dismissed him as a neanderthal.
Sorry BN, I've had a long day, so may have missed something. Who are "they"?

Do you think adults can behave like children without facing consequences?

Bristow, a 59 year old man, stated - in homophobic language - that the victims of sexual abuse were 'wimps'. In this case, moral outrage is not symptom of a failed system but of one that (if only occasionally) works.

You're obviously an educated and well balanced man but there are many adults who have not had the same balanced education that you have. Children tend to follow the path of their parents and it's up to society to educate them in an open minded way. People who haven't experienced situations don't always understand them. Bristow isn't a child, he's an adult who hasn't had the experiences to understand victims of sexual abuse. He's also a man of the 70's and 80's. I don't know if you were in England during that period but if you watch the tv programmes or read the media of that time you'd be shocked by the views of the "educated" person.

I'm not saying Bristow is right. he's totally wrong. I'm saying that Society is partly to blame for so many people having these and other intolerant views and we need to educate with tolerance and not idict those who don't understand. I'm sure the next generation will look back at this decade and see other areas that they think are incomprehensible. Probably to do with religion, Terrorism, brexit etc... And we're still doing amazingly badly with equality for major sectors of our society.

Bristow wasn't acting like a child.
If you say so.

He was behaving like an ill educated man with no understanding of the realities of being an abuse victim.
Erm, so, like a child then?

The people that jumped all over his comments calling him every name possible are the childish ones.
Brilliant. So this means we have to get rid of the COTY award because simply voting for someone to win the COTY makes the voter the winner of the COTY?

This is why we can't have nice things.

I take it the "C" in this abbreviation doesn't mean coach?

£400,000 fine and that's a record yet this company made almost 100 million nuisance phonecalls.

That fine will be absorbed with a smile. Maybe a fine of £1 per call would have been more reasonable.
