But by the rules of football, good player =good manager.
Which has proved wrong countless times, but still seems to be the way of the industry. Fergie wasn’t the most talented footballer. Nor was Wenger. Nor was Mourinho or Ranieri I believe.
Quality players do not always make quality managers.
