Because he's only managed 4 games in his career. I think we should ignore all the good preformances he's managed and just focus on these.

I don't want him but he's not so bad and there are a lot worse out there.

Venables wasn't that great. Shakey now down to evens alongside the Hodge which seems to confirm what I would say is the most logical approach - Shakey til the end of the season if we put in a good showing this afternoon, Hodgson til the end of the season if we don't.
