I have never said I'm against MM taking over, so don't include me as part of the "anti MM brigade". All I've been saying (again and again...!) is that we should only accept his offer if there are guarantees about the future of the club if we're not successful. I don't want to end up deeper in debt because someone's spent a fortune on crap players, we've been through that once.

Surprisingly, I agree with all that!

We can't have a scenario simply based on the assumption that the club will be back in the premiership in 18 months time.

However, I still think that this is a wonderful opportunity to be explored in a positive way. Its very sad that some parties - the Foxes Trust in particular -should come out and strike attitudes that epitomise some of the worst 'stick in the mud' and narrowly self - interested characteristics that (we) Leicester people can portray

By and large I agree with you Jeff and I have been very cautious about the MM bid. However although there are downsides to the MM bid there are also downsides to turning him down. Are you going to ask the board for guarantees, because with no parchute payments and no investment/loans in the squad then I think we'll see some of our best players go, we won't be able to hang on to the promising youngsters and with falling gates and ever increasing debt on the stadium we'll end up as a team whose natural home is the lower reaches of the Championship if we are lucky. The odd £3m by way of finance restructuring or rights issues will not be enough if we have Premiership ambition.

If it all goes through and Milan takes over will there be a version of below in 6 years time when we are settled in the Premiership I wonder?

Seeing the wonderful Fratton park reminded me of this quote from MM

"I promised fans when I first came here that I would deliver a Premier League team and a stadium to match,”

Explains the shout near the end.

as everyone is aware The shareholders EGM takes place on the morning of the Preston game however it is highly unlikley that a vote will take place.

I think the stadium issue was not entirely his fault.

You are right, but it does serve to remind us that, however well-intentioned he, or any bidder, might be, there is no guarantee of success.
