I have some of my own opinions about FCUM despite some super principles, I don't think their support is particular humble or brilliant but at least the numbers give the teams in the Unibond League a payday.

Some lower league clubs equally need a reality check IMO.

Going Meadow Lane Saturday will cost £20. That's three grounds I visited at that level in the past six months who charge that amount.

Someone told me today that Birmingham are charging £40 - £48 for the derby against Villa, although they charge similar for a lot of the other non-derbies. Far too much imo.

Presumably for that price you get a programme, team sheets, free mug (haha, not funny), limo service to the game, three-course dinner, bottle of wine and a signed photo with a player?

For £20 more you get to start in a position of your choice.

I've heard it's one of those fancy 3D mugs, not just any old tat.

Interesting thread. Some passionate and very well considered views - football fans are a bright bunch and should get way more respect from "the powers that be" who generally treat us like sheep or naughty schoolchildren, depending on the circumstances.

But it's all relative... seven years ago I had the same view as many who have expressed an opinion here. But then I moved 5000 miles away, so now I'm DELIGHTED when games are televised.

I suppose that makes me selfish, but the bottom line is, whoever you are and wherever you live, you're only going to be happy with the timing of games when it's convenient to you, and upset when it isn't. If every game went ahead, untelevised, at 3pm on a Saturday, I'd never get to see my team play any more. I'd be gutted! :icon_sad:

So, I'm ashamed to say, in my current situation... sod everyone else, I'm well happy with the switch. :icon_cool
