I'm not an expert, but imo they are decent compared with most of the shite produced in todays market.

that was about ten years ago melton so its hardly fair to say its still going on-also i said name a band who have maintained credibility by writing critically aclaimed albums after 25 years-the stones have done fook all and are living of past glories as are metallica etc etc.

Metallica are still going strong. The newer stuff is picking up more younger fans and gaining them more credibility. A lot of the older, more "mainstream metal" fans aren't too keen on the newer stuff. As for living off old Glories, maybe to a certain extent but in general, no, I don't agree
