What basis have you got for that argument HF about being stuck up their own arses?

Duzza, what basis have you got for the argument they always take their clothes off?

Oh, now I see

if there so shit then why have they managed to keep going for 25 years with founding members dying aswell, yet still manage to make albums which have creditability and are better then when they started out-please name me another band who has done that? also how come they managed to play 3 shows back to back at Hyde park with 100k people plus if they are shit? how many other bands have 3 amazingly talented musicians in them-flea has consistently been voted one of the best electric bass players ever as has chad smith on drums and john frusciante has written some pretty classic songs on the guitar such as under the bridge. Please don’t go calling a band shit overrated and up there own arses when they blatantly are not.

I'm not an expert, but imo they are decent compared with most of the shite produced in todays market.

Exactly Durham.I don't like their music and whenever I've heard them interviewed they appeared arrogant but I might be wrong about that....frankly I don't fecking care.I think their music is awful and Drummin might like to disagree with that but I'm right and he's wrong:icon_bigg

The Eagles
(Don Henley, Glenn Fry, Tim Schmit, Joe Walsh)

Does the lead singer of The Peps wear those silly little gloves when he goes to the toilet, is it an eczema thing or it because he prefers to travel on a bike rather than a limo due to concerns about the environment? Has he lost the grip reflex through a boating accident and is worried about dropping his mike on stage so he's put velcro on the mike and plam of the glove or is he just scared to touch things a la Michael Jackson. We need to know. :102:

that was about ten years ago melton so its hardly fair to say its still going on-also i said name a band who have maintained credibility by writing critically aclaimed albums after 25 years-the stones have done fook all and are living of past glories as are metallica etc etc.

Sock Dance - OK, I take your point, but it was never "happening" anyway really

Stones - I dont like them, so I won't argue that point.

Metallica are still going strong. The newer stuff is picking up more younger fans and gaining them more credibility. A lot of the older, more "mainstream metal" fans aren't too keen on the newer stuff. As for living off old Glories, maybe to a certain extent but in general, no, I don't agree

Watch them blow away the download festival this year. 21 years after first playing Donington
