Maddison certainly got the note, and did absolutely everything right in that last 10 minutes.

Everyone else out there was absolutely bricking it, from Kasper punching instead of catching, to Nacho trying delicate balls in behind, to frantic headers when we had space and time, to free kicks just aimlessly punted.

Anyway, job done. And it was a belting match. Who’s next?

Feared the worst when we brought Fezzik on but he was huge and did exactly what we needed

What a vile ****ing club. Still, it was nice to feel the pressure and care about the outcome for the first time in a while. And Fofana scoring was a real tearjerker. Seeing him perform so well on his comeback gives me real hope for our future.

Hopefully the next round goes a little smoother though!
