Please correct me if I am wrong but under Sven the only transfer fee I can recall is a modest one for La Bamba. Vassell did not cost a fee and what a bargain. There has however (I would guess) been a big outlay on wages which will go when the loanees go.

I would guess only Bamba and Vassell will be here next year (I would love to add the Yak to that list.)

Loans often involve fee's paid to secure a players services, for the Yak the suggestion in the media was about £1million. I expect Kirkland (i hope we got a refund) and Van Aanholt would have required a significant sum too. Factor in signing on fees, and agents fees and i believe Sven and the owners have spent quite a bit.

I am also worried about our squad in the long term, but i do believe Sven is doing the right thing. The majority of players that would come here on permanent moves would need replacing again if we got promotion, and would be less likely to achieve it in the first place. If we don't get promoted then Sven i'm sure will be able to attract a similar standard of player on loans next year. My biggest concern is if we don't get promoted and Sven leaves, but lets not think about that....

Would be ridiculous to drop Weale on Saturday after his performance last night. For those suggesting he's cost us points this season, he just claimed 3 of those back last night.

I'm one of those people (seen about 12 games and he has been uninspiring in a few of them) but I agree that if he played as well as advertised and he did keep a clean sheet...it would be very very harsh to bench him. Long may that form continue, hopefully he has turned the corner.

Have to agree, I haven't rated his performances this year but he was Motm for me yesterday, saved at least 3 decent shots and didn't do much wrong whilst the outfield play was a mess.
