That Matthew Bates needs plucking from 'Boro who will surely drop now, him and Adam Johnson. Downing to Spurs, Wheater to Villa....

Well I listened to the game too and recognized every player.

I'd never heard of..
Danny Guthrie
Jonas Gutierrez
Brad Jones
Matthew Bates
Andrew Taylor
Mohamed Shawky
Marvin Emnes

So not half, but still enough to make it difficult to listen to without wondering which team had the ball!

I guess our Premier League knowledge varies...

I haven't paid much attention to it for years, I can't remember the last time I watched Match of the Day, and I got rid of Sky Sports two years ago.

Wasn't Andrew Taylor our old Chairman? - resigned not long before Milan took over.

If you believe the tabloids Wolves are prepared to pay £2m for Doncaster midfielder Brian Stock and they want the same for Wellens (surely we wont pay that much!)

Ryan issues Wellens price warning

Wellens has been a key performer for Doncaster this season
Doncaster Rovers chairman John Ryan has said that midfielder Richie Wellens will not be sold for less than £1.5m.

Rovers, who finished 14th in the Championship, have received an enquiry from Leicester City for the 29-year-old but no formal offer was made.

Ryan told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Unless they come up with a lucrative offer, Richie is going nowhere."

Asked if Rovers would only entertain offers of £1.5m and above, he answered: "Yes, basically."

Not just paper talk then.

I really have no idea of his valuation, not seen enough of him at all. I did watch Doncaster get stuffed 4-0 at Bristle City - to be fair they were awful that day; the second half of the season though Donnie performed really well didn't they?

Recycling of the same story in the Mirror, although seems a bit more optimistic...

Leicester target Doncaster star Richie Wellens

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson wants to sign Doncaster Rovers midfield dynamo Richie Wellens for £1million.

Wellens stood out in the Championship last term and Pearson wants him to lead the Foxes next time.

Rovers don't want to sell, but Wellens will get a far bigger deal at the Walkers Stadium.

i hope it's a case of all's Well 'ens well.
Hope he doesn't leave us N'Guessan.

i 'll be here all week, tip your waitress.

Anyone else thinking that Nige reads any speculation at all and thinks 'right, fcuk it, not going for him then. Who haven't they heard of?'

From what I've heard Wellens seems like a solid signing, get the impression he's maybe similar to oakley on a good day though?

I doubt it very much if he did we would be stuffed.

My impression is that Nigel decides what he wants and then asks Steve Walsh to advise him on players. Steve Walsh seems to spend much of his working life watching possible signings. I do not wish to pass comment on other contributors to TB but I am glad that Nigel listens to Steve Walsh judgement and not to mine.

Having a medical now!!

Sorry on my bloody phone and didn't think it posted!
