Despite my postive review, I still see why City ship goals left, right and centre and I think if we didnt score in the first half hour. It would have been a different game. We were good but you can tell we aint like that every week.

Nice gesture of Smith throwing his City shirt into t'Kop.

I was up the stand in the Family Stand, so had a decent view and my father went apeshit at the ref's decision. Piss poor ref.
but it this way my dads mate had 80-1 on city beating united 4-1........he was not best pleased ;)

Now if only they could do that every game!!! Terrific. I still can't stop smiling.

I just hope that the form can continue. That for me will be the true test of CL. He still has to prove himself to me!

Huuuuume is a class act! Well worth the drive from London.

I think CL listened to his critics because of the defensive minded performances we have seen recently. This was the 1st time this season we were out of the blocks and attacking and pressing right from the start. For me the mentality of the team was main the reason we were not performing, and that is why I beleive CL has sat up and started listening to people and getting this team to be positive and attacking.

According to some stats, City had 14 goal attempts, ALL of which were "on target"! When did you last see that level of accuracy?

Even the usually begrudging Warnock knew they had been well and truly tw@tted on Saturday. Excerpt from BBC Radio in Sheffield.

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock:

"It has been an important lesson to us because nobody has given us such an examination as they did in the first 45 minutes.
"Their front four were terrific, absolutely superb and you can't take anything away from them.
"The third goal was the sucker punch and there was no way back
from that."

Great result and so well deserved, however, one swallow does not a summer make and I hope we can sustain this level of performance game on game. They were all so up for it, they wanted the ball, they wanted to win, they went the extra mile, it made all the difference.

Really sorry, did't realise this had been posted before. Teach me to read the thread - still a stonking result tho!

According to some stats I saw we got 13 out of 14 attempts on target - which must be more accurate because we hit the bar once!

I'm with you on this one Webmonger - the bar and post are not the target, they are off target IMO.

Yes, you're right of course. The Guardian had it as 13 out of 14. Vitalfootball.co must regard the woodwork as part of the target!

Still pretty impressive though.

almost un-leicester-like normally nearer t'other way on 13 off 1 on target :icon_bigg

You must be excited, quoting Aristotle. :icon_lol: :icon_lol:  ;)

So if it hits the woodwork and goes in its on target, it hits the same bit of wood and stays out its off target? What does it say about those that the goalie saves but we could all see it was going wide?

I thinks its all a bit subjective anyway, I've seen wild ale house swings heading for the corner flag hit a defender and nestle in the top corner, that's on target isnt it?

Goals, goals, goals - the only on target that matters.

Didnt he marry Jackie Kennedy? Some philosiphising shipping magnate bloke. Had it all handed to him on Plato.:icon_bigg

Great performance from the lads I still cant believe it now. the one thing that spoilt it abit for me was the ref, what a T**T.

His inconsistency was shocking to say the least, for me Maybury should have gone when he attempted to ram the Sheff U players head through the floor, something which he should of learned from after his performance earlier this season. Also the tackle that was made on Kisnorbo (I think) that looked distinctly two footed and well above the ball should of seen a red.

As for the other 10 yellows i cant really remember what happened.

Hopefully we will get the right result against Bolton and go on a decent run.
