Maybe he was implying you were going to get hammered tonight.

well i was, then the metro wasnt running north for a while, so i missed my bus to alnwick. plus my leg got smashed so i am still sitting at home now with my leg covered in alcohol trying to sort it out. why weren't you there webbo? part timers, tut tut

Talk about armchair fans!

Porter slowing?
Hume needed to come on?

We didn't make any changes because we didnt need to! We were still creating chances and nobody was knackered. end of.

I don't think Porter was slowing, just that in the last ten minutes we could have done with someone with a bit more presence.

For the last ten mins they started coming on stronger and the crowd got its tail up.

Saying that; who cares, because we got a point when i thought we'd get hammered!

The feckpig phoned me to settle an argument he was having with some Darlington fans. I think you can guess who was right!

The daft sod was arguing that Middlesbrough and Darlington have never been in the same division - I said that they had and that I had been to a league match between the two clubs. It was decided that Webbo would be the person who could sort this out, so the phone-call was made.

Webbo was able to tell him that Middlesbrough and Darlington have been in the same division for no fewer than 4 seasons - the Darlington fan, however, tried to claim a moral victory because I had said that I had seen the Boro play at Darlington's old Feethams ground on Boxing Day in either 1967 or 1968, whereas the match had taken place in 1966. An even bigger feckpig than me, I later found out that he is a Soho Community Beat Officer with the Metropolitan Police - you just can't get decent football fans these days!!

what were they arguing about? what is the biggest waste of farmland and money in the north east? obviously their ground, paid for by safe-breaking scum like the chairman.

He did mention that - in almost the same words as well!

They had an attendance of 3,654 for the game on Saturday, in a ground which has a capacity of just over 25,000

During the last 10 minutes the Sunderland fans were streaming out of the ground - any increase in noise from them was a result of a sudden realisation that Roy Keanio is not the new messiah!

Any suggestion that they were stronger than we were in the last 10 minutes is totally wrong IMO. This was our best performance this season and we stopped their party, not by defending with 10 men but by attacking them and being better than them for much of the game.

We did very well - for fox sake, let's celebrate!

There where times when we were just hacking the ball away in the last ten minutes, and compared to the rest of the game they were at there strongest.

It was a great performance through i agree.

I think it just goes to show at when we want to play we can!

I was pleased we didn't make any substitutions, we were doing fine, and if anyone was going to snatch it at the end it was us. Our system was working, any change would have unbalanced it IMO.

Absolutley, it looks our strongest line up currently. It may be worth trying Hume wide right ocassionally to see if he is more useful out there than Hughes.
