I always check the facts when a story like this appears in the papers.

Rogers may have fallen out with Megson, but Megson didn't drop him. Megson recalled him to the team!

Rogers missed their 3-0 win in the cup at QPR. Megson took over a couple of days later, and brought him into the squad for the next match (he came on in the second half), then played the full 90 minutes the following match, on Saturday.

I hope he stays at forest, and is a regular in their league one team next year.

Im just telling you what they printed, I guess they were just wrong.

I don't really see why this is an excuse anyway. If you get a workman in to do something and he does a bad job. If he turns round and says 'Oh! It's my tools ' I would still think he is a bad workman for having shite tools.

I suppose he was. I was merely musing on the expression in general.
Presumably, bad workmen do blame their tools to hide the fact that they are bad workmen. However, having poor tools is pretty stupid anyway, so they are not really fooling anyone....

I suppose the best thing to do is examine the workman's tools when they come round for the original quote - Maybe ask in advance whether he has good or bad tools. If he states that he has good tools, then you've got him. If he then cocks up his work, he can't blame his tools and everyone's a winner :-)

Man I'm bored!!!
