(1) It could be used to excuse a lowering of standards. Yes with modern roads and feminism walking on the outside of a lady is out of date; with todays liberated young women there is no need for a young man to give up his seat on a bus. However, unless Sven prefers to be called Eriksson then I cannot see the excuse for it.

In my experience of slightly more modern dating, chicks dig it when you walk outside of them, give up your seat etc. - but if the date involves getting on a bus, you're doomed.

I never played the professional game, I played against Malcolm Manley once, and a few other ex LCFC fringe players. But nobody paid to watch me play. When he played for Leicester Roger was awful. Not interested in what he may or may not have done elsewhere I did not see that. I am not at all wary of calling a spade a spade.
