Brad Jones was injured for the best part of the start of the season. With Turnbull in the sticks they went on a run and up to 8th they lost form and polumeted like a stone and he was replaced with the then fit again jones who kept his place.

He was rumoured at one point to be earning an call up for England when he was in form according to the press ;)

Happy to bench warm at Chelski according to the Mirror. :102:

Typical modern day footballer - happy to take his money and sit on the bench 4 years - t**ser

He's probably getting paid about 4 times what we would have offered (if we were ever even interested)... what a twat, why would he go to Chelsea?

t**t. totally.

Why anyone would want to go to chelsea for four years and waste their career days who enjoys playing football is beyond me. He won't get played unless chelsea are playing some tiny team in the fa cup, so I'm not sure how ancelotti has convinced him otherwise.
Yes, Mr. turnbull, you would get played virtually every week- and why would you not want that?

Not going to go far in football with that attitude, what a idiot.

Yea deffo, I mean playing for Chelsea is hardly something you would class as going far in the game.

He must be a right pillock.

You say playing, but he won't be doing a lot of that at all will he? Don't get me wrong, if Chelsea offered me a big wage to sit on the bench, then I'd take it. But this move is just gonna end up like the Sidwell and Wright-Phillips ones, he'll sit on the bench for a few years, maybe get the odd few games here and there, and then move on somewhere else.

You would argue that sitting on Chelsea's bench is not 'going far in the game?

Must be a bit difficult for the likes of Chelsea,on one hand you need a good reserve but on the other if he's too good then chances are he isn't going to stay with you warming the bench, unless he is like Turnbell.I suppose the other option is to loan your No.2 out with the agrrement in place that he is to return immediately if your first choice is injured, like Man City

Fancy going to a top four club like Chelsea, learning from someone like Peter Cech and the Chelsea coaching staff, training with some of the best players in the country, getting a chance to experience some first team football at he highest level (albeit limited at first) and seeking to prove his value at that level, and getting five times the salary he would earn elsewhere

Honestly, what a complete and utter loser he really is

No, I merely said that he wouldn't be doing much playing while at Chelsea.
