It's a white(ish) blob with 3 dots on it for eyes and a mouth.. and a mop of hair on top.. how the hell are you supposed to work it out?

You need a new monitor - I can definitely see 4 dots! Deduction is the method that I often use - but it's failing in this instance.

I am pretty sure though that the copper whose legs you can see under Large's backside once clipped my ear as I was pushing to get out of the Kop.

Comparing it with this pic... Sjoberg (front Left) looks the closest blob with the ears in the right place

That would be my best guess too.

Frank Large made his debut in the 6-0 defeat at ManCity in November 67, so if it's him, it can't be Elland Road.
