He inherited a complete ****ing car crash

So far he's had no impact whatsoever

But as BN says, we are so ****ing cool having him as our manager

That's 5 losses in a row with 2 goals scored and 14 conceded.

4 points from 21 available, although I'd argue it was his own responsibility to let the Brentford loss just happen.

RvN has 0.57 points per game
Cooper had 0.83 points per game

Had we stuck with Cooper, by those returns we'd have 3 points more right now than we have.

Except we’ve played Newcastle, Liverpool and Villa away, plus Man City at home out of those 5 games - so that’s a bit unfair

Still think he’s an absolute duffer, though

Yeah.... I think you need to have a look at our fixtures.

You could also argue that it has been a very good time to play those sides. None have been great in the games against them.

We managed to help a couple back into form and give a couple a comfortable win in second gear.

Were none of the sides we played under Cooper and lost to out of form or shit against us either?

He's also not had the luxuries of Ndidi, Fatawu, Ricardo or, for the most part, Winks.

I still think he's a duff choice but you're not looking at the whole picture.

I'm not fan of Cooper. But in that Wolves game....i can imagine him trying to get us back into the game at some point rather than protect what ended up being a 3-0 defeat. It'll take a lot to persuade me that Ruud has a clue after that game.

I believe I posted a run of fixtures going into Chelsea, said we would be lucky to take 4 points. So I’m not really surprised.

The Wolves match is the one, and to be fair he absolutely shat all over himself in that. The Ward decision remains criminal and probably terminal.

It’s the three of the next four that will basically show us if there is anything in him.

Palace at Home
Fulham at Home
Spurs away
Everton away

He absolutely needs to find at least two wins in that. Don’t fancy it. Could be cut adrift by March.

We need Mads back in goal and at least one new signing for those matches - preferably two or three, one of whom simply has to be a right back

Looking at it, I think he simply has to find a way to win that Palace match. A defeat there and six defeats in the bounce would be backbreaking.

He won’t win it with that back five.

Forget the stats, my eyes can see that it’s worse now. And our one win and one draw were incredibly lucky results - it could easily have been 7 losses.

Reads like Cooper and his results over Southampton & Ipswich
Yes they were late comebacks, but overall they were fair results. xG backs that up as well (I know it gets a bad rep but I think it usually is a fair reflection).

They required red cards to the opposition for us to surpass either teams' xG.

The xG at the point of Phillips red card was 1.34-0.63 to Ipswich.
The Southampton game, it was 2.37-1.85 to Southampton at the point of the red card.

Interestingly, xG has us beating Manchester City and Brighton with us 0.10 within West Ham in our win there.

I’m clearly looking at different stats to you then as the app I use has the West Ham match as 1.67 v 3.10, and Brighton as 1.31 v 1.54. Which reflects more what I saw.

But surely xG is xG. This is weird.

Either way, it could very easily have been seven defeats in a row. Two massive home games coming up - we need at least 4 points.

I’m keen to know how involved Cooper was in the summer. If these signings are his, I’m not going to hold anyone else to account for how bad they are.
