Who knows what will come of this. I'll do exactly what I did with Cooper and take each game as it comes for a while to decide whether or not he fits the bill.

I don't think, on the surface, it's a bad appointment and he'll more than likely attract a few players who may otherwise have turned us down. I hope he has the strength of character to tell them what they will be doing instead of giving them the job of thinking.

"I have to say, when the interest came, the first one I called was Enzo. He was so positive about it. He absolutely loved his time. When you hear these things, it’s a club you want to be a part of. Obviously, with the interest coming, I phoned him and I asked him more detailed questions about the Club, the structures, the people that work there, the squad, the stadium, the fans, the town, the surroundings… it was a fantastic conversation. It’s always a pleasure to talk to him”.

I think it's an extraordinary decision.

A totally random punt on someone without any evidence to suggest that he's capable of the job required.

If it didn't matter so much, I'd be all for it. Part of the fun of being a City supporter is the rollercoaster. However, if there was ever a season where we needed to play the odds, it's this one.

But we've put all our chips on a single number in a game of roulette. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best. Maybe it will work?

Having said all that, I'm pleased that it won't be Cooper leading us any longer. A change was necessary and the bold decision the club took on Sunday was the right call, whatever the idiot pundits think.

I wish him all the best. I hope it's an inspired decision. Much will depend on the staff he has around him and whether the players like him.

What a bonkers club we are.

Strangely, on my music stream my probably AI-selected Daily Play List for today included Rudy Can't Fail. SC needed to go, RvN is a risk, but on balance our risks have been successful.
I'm happy for the change, things would have become worse, let's get behind our new manager.
I don't think he can't fail, but reckon there's a more than evens chance he will keep us up and move the club forwards. C'mon the Ruud Boys!

Yep agree entirely.

Let's face it, David Moyes would have been boring as hell, even if he did keep us up.

Whilst I agree with pretty much all of that, who’s to say they won’t bail on him if it all goes tits up by February anyway? There’s no guarantee he’ll definitely be in charge still at the end of the season.

Strengthen the defence, including Vestergaard back to offer strength and stability.
In their faces from the off. We have seen these players do it before.
Let’s not wait until the 96th minute to score the equaliser!

We were hurtling towards oblivion under Cooper - he was a rip-roaring ****ing disaster

Ruud might just drag us out of it, or take us there quicker. Who ****ing knows. Certainly not the ****tards in charge of the Club

Fun though, innit?
Cuddles?
