Having had a quick gander at my previous comment, I seem to have used honkers pasta instead of hooters, although I'd argue honkers are hooter-adjacent. Quite literally I may add.

Up to Christmas we were completely honking
The difference was that we supported the manager in January with just what he needed - Robert Huth was so much better than our other centre backs (yes, absolutely including Wes), and a stronger backline gave the rest of the team space to play. January 2025 is just a bad joke in comparison

People spent most of that season repeating that what we were doing wasn't working and praying the Nige would change it or **** off. Fortunately all it took was a change.

That squad was so mentally strong that almost unchanged, it went on to win the league the following season.

It was a top quality squad made up of hard working individuals coming together as a team. So basically the complete opposite of this seasons squad.

Apart from playing Fuchs instead of Konchesky, Kante instead of Cambiasso, Drinkwater instead of James/King, Okazaki instead of Ulloa/Nugent, Simpson instead of Richie ****ing de Laet and Albrighton playing every game instead of just a handful

And playing a 4-4-1-1 formation instead of 3-5-3/5-3-2

Apart from that, almost unchanged

Something fishy about that 3-5-3 I reckon

Always nice to see de Laet referred to by his actual full name as it appears on his birth certificate. Don't think I've seen it since 2016.

If (big, if) they were to sack Amorimittity, might they go back for Ruud? This is my thinking.
No chance. He’s hardly covered himself in glory here.

I think they’ll give Amorim time anyway. They gave ETH enough of it.

LCFC We are delighted to confirm that legendary former Leicester City midfielder Andy King has been appointed to Ruud van Nistelrooy’s First Team coaching staff.
  • Former midfielder Andy King joins Ruud van Nistelrooy’s First Team staff
  • His role will see him become a key link between our First Team and Academy
  • Legendary midfielder has won the Premier League, Championship and League 1 titles with the Football Club
A graduate of the Club’s renowned Academy, Andy made 379 appearances for us and played a leading role in some of our greatest moments, including the historic Premier League title triumph of 2016.
Andy rejoined us as assistant manager of our Under-18s side in the summer as he helped use his experience as a Premier League, Championship and League 1 winner to develop the next generation of Academy graduates.
Van Nistelrooy said: “Andy is one of the people in the Club with Leicester City in the DNA. What has impressed me most is his eye for the team and for the details of the game. He’s very bright in his ideas and we’re aligned in the idea of how to bring Leicester City forward. [Early on] I asked him to be a part of the First Team with the coaching staff. He really liked it, we all did, also the players. He’s fully a part of that set-up now and I’m happy that he’s helping us with his knowledge of the Club and also of football. He also is a bridge with the Academy. We have players like Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans who are with us a couple of days a week and he’s guiding these players so they’re not caught in the middle. That’s one of his important tasks. It’s fantastic to have him here.”
The 36-year-old’s connection to our Club dates back over 20 years, with his dedication and success on the pitch making him a favourite with the Blue Army during one of the great Leicester City careers - spanning three divisions and including countless memorable moments.
He will now combine his coaching duties with an important role linking the First Team and renowned Academy, which helped nurture his own talents as well as those of many others who have gone on to mark their mark on the professional game.
Andy joins our existing First Team coaching group of Jelle ten Rouwelaar, Brian Barry-Murphy, Ben Dawson, Andrew Hughes and Danny Alcock, further strengthening the skills and experience guiding our First Team squad.

Honestly I'm struggling to believe this is a Van Nistelrooy appointment. We've got multiple title winning coach Rene Meulensteen saying hed be up for joining Ruud's backroom team. Meanwhile we wind up with Andy King on his first rodeo. This has got Top/ Rudkin PR stunt/ cost saving bollacks all over it......
