Well pleased with this. If he can get his form back he is of an age where he should be in his prime. Nice for continuity that he is here for the season as well. Hoping that he might emulate Simmo! Still need another signing in the batting department.

Agree with that - but is the 'international clearance' that is still required just a formality? Will the W Indies regard it as a positive in that it is an extended opportunity for him to regain form and be around in England just in case they need him on their up-coming short tour here - or will they take the view that the proposal to play in all competitions for the entire season is too much?

As you say even with Sarwan there is still a glaring gap in the batting line up and one more quality bat is needed just to get back to the strength of last season - which wouldn't be saying much.
