Sounds like DJ worked his socks off but offered little goal threat
I must check the Guinness Book of Record this Christmas to see if he beat the ''most times offside in a game of football''. He worked hard off the ball but apart from that little else.
The first half was the best I've seen us play all season. Probably 4 clear-cut chances - 2 which should have been finished, 2 which were superbly saved (including Campbell). We didn't look great at the back though during this stage. It was end to end stuff - exciting football. It could have been about 5-2 to us at the break
Second half, I think Pearson curbed our attacking intentions. We had one chance, goal! Maybe it's my luck - still unbeaten in my attendance and these includes 4 80th+ minute winners.
On performances, Tunchev was the don at the back today. Superb, constantly fouled but never put a foot wrong.
Mattock was truly dreadful - a 2 and he deserved hauling off. Either trying too hard to impress or simply his heart's not in it.
Oakley I thought was good in spells as was Berner but he needs to improve his defensive work in midfield. King was utter shit until his goal and missed a great chance.
Dyer and Fryatt both worked their socks off. Fryatt foiled by a good save and Dyer took his chance beautifully.
It was cold, very cold. I think I hate Glanford Park now - out of town, cold and I'm always stuck behind some pillar.
The ref was also utter wank today - didn't punish two late tackles on Edworthy and Hobbs.
Oh yeh and Scunthorpe's defence wasn't very good. Infact, I thought they were very direct and came up against a decent defence, had no answer.
