Some may say our season was over last August, but I can't believe that we finish at the end of this month....

At least we have the World Cup this summer, but this season has flown by....

Bearing in mind the disappointment of this season, I cannot believe how quickly it has flown by, lets just hope that next season will be one to remember rather than another season of mediocrity.

Now will be a good time to lay bets on next seasons promotion campaign...:038: :038: :038:

And the inevitable speculation regarding the managers position, and incoming and outgoing players.

Would like the board to appoint Kelly now and allow him to start planning for next season, ie Retained list and potential squad additions, and blooding potential youngsters for next season.

Let's hope in years to come it's viewed as the season when we turned the corner.
We at last abandoned the strategy of buyng old, experienced heads aka has beens and took the risk of investing in youth from our own source and the transfer market.
We also got a young manager, although inexperienced, who has managed to motivate his players, play them in a logical formation, pick them consistently and indentify the no-hopers.

Fryatt, Hume, Stearman, McCarthy, Weso led by R Kelly can be the backbone of a very successful LCFC team of the future...

..and it all started this season.......what a fantastic year!

I wouldnt mind a season of consolidation next year and a top 10 finish.

Kelly if not chosen is travesty, the bloke has proven himself to the board and to deny him a place now would be like someone winning Pop Idol but never getting the contract.

Also I would like to see players sign but not the same amount like we did this year. Consistenty is needed.

A Centre Midfielder is needed desperately, a left-back and a right winger.

I sure hope you're right!!! :038:

It has gone pretty quick, but it was pretty shit. I think we have all become pretty oblivious to it all and that has made it a pretty quick and pretty pretty average season. Pity it's been so pretty.

I think part of the reason it has gone so quick is that we seem to have 2 mini seasons, Pre & Post CL

Pretty good points pretty well made...

I disagree that it has been a shit season, it's been full of intrigue and guessing and passion and anger and joy and breasts....Plymouth? Now that's a boring shite season.

To damn right - I'm so glad we don't support a boring team such as Plymouth, or someone like Charlton, or Villa, etc. Urgh - imagine that, wearing claret and blue and speaking like Alan Smith (of Sky, not the big lipped Leeds loving/hating/man u shagging burp).

NEVER slag Alan Smith (of Sky, not the big lipped Leeds loving/hating/man u shagging burp) off.  :018: :018: :018: :icon_mad:

God Bless the world cup...I'll be anxiously waiting for my GCSE results!!!

It is mental that the whole thing has already flown by. It feels like five minutes ago that i was handing over my money for this years season ticket, now I have to get my arse in gear and fork out for next years:icon_eek:

I'm not going to make any suggestions about how we might do next season this time around though. I think I probably gave it the kiss of death when I opened my mouth last year.

You'll be fine. There wasn't even a hint of text speak in what you said there!:icon_bigg

Oh and indeed...god bless the world Cup! My beloved Republic of Ireland won't be taking part, but I still have the old video footage of David O'leary tucking his peno away in Italia 90 to keep me warm:icon_lol:
