Well yeah but I was thinking more along the lines of some of her mum's comments about how she knew Shannon had been abducted and how she says someone has done it to hurt her. As well as other stories about how she didn't get on with her stepdad or whatever. It was quite clear that it would be someone they knew, and I had a feeling she would be found alive.

Sky News correspondent Gerard Tubb said: "The photographs are not of Shannon and the allegations that Craig Meehan downloaded the photographs are not connected to the disappearance of Shannon."

Meehan lives with Shannon's mother Karen Matthews at Moorside Road in Dewsbury Moor.

But the girl has not returned home since she was found.

Tubb added: "(Meehan's arrest) has the potential to have considerable repercussions - not least of which because social services are looking at what happens, not only to Shannon and any eventual return to the family home, but also to the other children in the household.

"She is in the care of social services ... the likelihood of Shannon going home any time soon is slim to say the least."

It was fairly obvious IMO that there was a reason with regards to her welfare at home which led to the fact she wasn't being allowed to return home, and this looks like it could be it. :102:

Correct, although he's in court this morning having being charged with 10 specimen offences of possession of indecent images of children.

And if he's found guilty then he is scum. The problem is with sex offense cases it's very easy to judge on arrest, then if found innocent their lives are ruined. Just annoys me.

To be honest though in this case how can he not be guilty ? The images are either there or not-its not like they've arrested him on the suspicion of having images on his pc-and no matter what bollocks he comes up with (like Pete Townshend's "research") theres only one reason its on there. Those kind of images don't just accidently end up on your pc. The only way he's not guilty is if someone else has downloaded them onto his pc which seems a highly unlikely scenerio imo.
 
Sky News are reporting that Shannon has 'briefly' been re-united with her mum. Is it me, or do they feel it was safe to let them see each other now the stepfather is out of the way :102:

Unlikely, but not impossible. The impression given is that he wasn't the only one with access to the computer in question.

It seems that the police new where Shannon was after about 1 day of her being lost or something but didn't want to move in until they knew for 100%. They stopped all charity money reaching the family as it turns out it was all a huge scam that they had dreamt up after seeing how much charity money was reaching the McCanns. The mother has had all her other kids taken off her now as well.

That's the latest from up here any way. If true, then it's disgusting and nothing more than I expect from some of the fecking awful 'families' that are around these days.
