For Christ sake. My two penneth is that Martin Allen and MM know a damn sight more than you lot about what it takes to gain promotion and win games.
Missing out on a) a player that most of us were saying was always gonna sign for saints and b) an obscenely overprised Sharp who was always gonna go to Shef Utd is not a failing on the part of our new management or owner.

Whilst it is may be true that more significant signings may yet come and that MM is hoping for a Boothroyd/Davies type effect, it is also true that so far we have not seen enough of either to suggest we will attain the top six spot MM is aiming for.
I think more needs to be done before I can share you sanguine viewpoint.

He was way over priced anyway. Surley if MM was going to pay some cash out it would be on a player who has scored goals in the championship or above i.e Cureton, Iwelumo, Jones.
It's early days yet, we are bound to make some bigger signings i would have thought. Cant see MM thinking we're top six with what we have at the moment.

I don't disagree with you, but previous posts were suggesting missing out on certain players lies at the feet of MA and MM. This is a load of p1ss.
We definitely need a striker with pedigree. There are plenty more out there tho.

The question was "Where do you expect us to finish next season? " to which MM replied "There are eight teams, I think, who will be a major force in the Championship next season. We're one of them. I expect us to be in the top six."
In other words MM expects us to be in the top six at the end of next season.
